GIVE THEM THE RANK THEY DESERVE
The Red Cross nurse, in a very large percentage of cases, is directly responsible for
saving the lives of our wounded soldiers. Rank and consequent prestige have been con
ferred upon officials whose war work is oftn much less vital. If official rank were given
war nurses the Red Cross field service would more than ever attract women of the highest
mentality and caliber and would give those in the service the prestige they deserve.
