Picket’s
SCHOOLBOOKS.
The subscriber having been appointed
agent for the. disposal of Mr. Picket’s
SCHOOL ROOKS, offers to the public
the following: , '
1. The Juvenile or Universal Primer
2. The Juvenile Spelling Book
S. The Juvenile Instructor ’
4. The Juvenile Expositor
5. Picket’s Table Book, for acquir
ing a knowledge «f arithmetic
6. Copy Books, from No. 1 to 4
7. Geographical Grammar, with maps
The above Books are used entirely
(and none else) in the most respectable
seminaries in the states of New-York,
New-Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
As a sufficient-evidence of the repute of
Mr. Picket’s mode of teaching, wc need
only refer to the numerous impressions
annually emitted. In the course of four
months, two editions of the Juvenile
Spelling Bonk of 4,000 copies each, have
been printed, and all the others in the
same proportion. When we consider
the expense that the publisher has been
at in getting these School Books stereo
typed, it is presumed that teachers in the
southern states will give them that en
couragement which their merit demands.
