army against a virtuous, unprotected,
and unoffending foreign nation, who

who,like us 40 years ago, were now
smuggling for their liberty.” Mr.
Duane said, what he stated was not
matter of opinion, but what he was
ready to prove by official documents.
Mn Biddle rose to reply, but was
interrupted by cries of “ the ques
tion,” Mr. Ihackara then address
ed the meeting, and compared Mr.
