Sec. Z. And be it further enaSed, That the town or landing place of Darien,, «n the Alataraa'aa river, in the (fate of Georgia, hall be h port *f delivery, to bcarnexed t» the diftrift of Brunfwiek, and (hall he fab. jest to the fame regulations and reftriftintis us other port* of delivery in the U. States ; and a surveyor (lull be appointed to reside at the said port of delivery, who (lull be entitled to receive one hundred dollars annu al filar/, together with the other emolu u.nents ofoffice, as fixed by existing laws. Sec. 3. AN ACT For evening certain light houses m the fiat* of Majfachufetts ; for building a beaeon, or pier, at bridgeport, in the fate of Connecticut; and for fixing buoys in Pam. piticofound, in the fate of North Caroh- B*K it enabled by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, m Congre/s Ajfembled, That the Secretary of the Trcalury be, and he is hereby authorized and direrted to cause to be crcrtcd the following light houses in the state of Mrffachufetts: , . One on Franklin ifiand, at the mouth ot Sr. George's river, in the diftrirt of Maine, > ’ ; Ore #n Weft Paffamaquody head, at the entrance into the bay and harbour of Paf fainquedy, in the dittriid of Maine. And a double light house at or near Chat ham harbour, on the back of cape Cod. Provided fufficient land for the accom modation of the said light houses can be ob tained at reafvnable prices, and the leglf laturc cf Maffacbafctts (hall cede the juris diction over the fame to the United States. And the fecrctary of the treasury is hereby authorized to agree for the salaries, or wa ges, of the persons who may be appointed by the PrefiJent for the fiiperintcndance and car* of said light houses, and otherwise to provide for the fame, at the expence of the United States. Sec. 2. And he it further enaSed, That tha fecrctary cf the treasury be, anil he is hereby required to caufc a beacon, or pier, to be creClcd near the mouth of the harbour of Bridgeport, in the state «f Connecticut; and to c mfe buoys to be fixed on BlulFShoa), Royal Shoal, north weft Shaddle, and fouth weft Shaddle, in the waters of Pamptico found, in the state of North Carolina. Sec. 3. And be it further enabled, Wtcic i/vfar defraying theex pence of erecting each or the aforefaui ligm houses, the furp .of five thousand dollars; for the expence of trading the said beacon? or pier, the firm of »ne thousand dollars ; and for expence of fixing the said buuys, one thousand dollars, to be paid, refpcCtive ly, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. AN ACT Supplementary to the aft making provtjion for the payment of claims of citizens of the United States on the government of France, BE it enabled by the Senate and Horse of Representatives of the United States ■of America in Congress ajfembled, That the fecrctary of the treasury shall cause to he paid, at the treasury of the United S r ates, the amount of certain claims of citizens of the United States against the government of France, anfing from the Bordeaux em bargo, in conformity with a certified lift *f liquidations, attetted by the mini tier cf the public trealnry of France, and tranfir.ittcd # by the minister plenipotentiary of the U. BE it enabled h t^e Senate and Mou/eof Representatives of the fate of Georgia , in General AJfembly met, anJ it is Indy matted by the muihtrity afore/aid, That for the support of government, for the political year, 1806, the following sums of money be appropriated, viz ; The salary of the Governor, shall be two theufand five hun dred dollars per annum j the secretaries of the Executive Department, not exceeding two, five hundred dollars each; the fecrctary of state, two hundred dollars; the treafarcr, twelve hundred dollars ; the surveyor gene ral, two hundred dollars ; the comptroller general, four hundred dollars; the clerk of the Heufe of Representatives, three hundred dollars ; the fecrctary of the Senate, three hundred dollars ; the judges of the superior court, fourteen hundred dollars each; the attorney general, and two folicitots gene ral, one hundred and fifty dollars each ; which laid several turns (hall be, and they are hereby appropriated for their ufc, to be ptid quarterly by warrant from the govern or, on the treasury, out of the taxes to be received for tho years eighteen hundred four, and eighteen hundred five.
