Bating that he is confined in the cufio
dy of the Sheriff, under a bail writ, issued
st the fait of Michael and John Conrad and
co. and that he is unable to pay the debt
or give bail for the fame, and praying the
benefit of the aft passed for the relief of in
solvent debtors.
Ordered, That the said William But
ler notify bis creditors either in person or
by giving sixty days noticcinthe Chron
iclc and Columbian Centincl, previous to
the Tuft Monday in Oftoberncxt, at which
time an examination wiii be had and a dif
9harge granted if no cause is (hewn to the
contrary; and the Sheriff is hereby com

UPON the petition of William Melton,
flaring, that he had in hi* pcCcffion,
a deed of conveyance to a tnrft of land, ly
ing in the county and state aforefaid, in the
fork of the Oconee and Aaplatchee liven,
containing two hundred and thirty acre* of
land; which said deed of convey aoce align
ed by Sam'l Flenikin to David Flenikin—
a copy of which said deed of conveyance,
aa near the original a* your petitioner can
recolleft, » lodged in the clerk’s office,
together with an affidavit, flaring, that the
said original deed of conveyance is Idft, so
that he cannot come at the fame.
Whereas, it is ordered , That the said co
py is cftablilhcd in lieu of the original, un
less good caufc can be shewn to the contra
ry, and that the said rule be published in
one of the Gazettes of the Hate, fix months.

Samuel Flenikin of the state of Georgia
and county of Grcesej of the one part, and
David Flenikin of the ftati and county
aforefaid, of the other part, Wiintfletb,
that the said Samuel Flenikin, for, and in
confiderstion of the sum of two hundred
dollars, the receipts whereof arc hereby ac
knowledged, hath given, granted, bargain
ed and fold, and by these prefects do give,
grant, bargain, fell and convey, all that
traft or parcel of land, feuated, lying and
being in the county and Hate aforefaid, in
he fork of the Oconee and Atalatchec
river?, containing two hundred and thirty
acres, more or left, having such marks and
' shapes as appear by the plat of the fame,
annexed to a grant bearing date December
31st 1767, to James Flenikin, together
with all artd lingular the rights, members
and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or
in any wile appertaining—and 1, the afore
said Samuel Flenikin, for myfeif, fcein, &c.
Wo, by these presents, warrant and forever
defend, the lawful right and title of the
above mentioned land atid premises, unto
the aforefaid David Flenikin, bit heirs and
assigns forever, and from ail and every other
perfoa. or pcrfoct, v. hatfoever, as a cleat
and indefcafibie efface, in fee simple, fore
ver—ln witness .whereof. I have hereunto
