MONETARY AND COMMERCIAL
ATLANTA MARKETS.
Orrci Daily Maw
Tuesday Evening, Aug. 10.
Bubimbm—Trade was only moderate yester-
dao. Quite Improvement is manifested in the
wigon trade. Farmers having generally
finished "laying by" their orops, are begin
ning to haul their produota to the oity. A
large number of wagons earns in on Peaohtree
yesterday, and the same mav be said of the
other leading thoroughfares. They were mostly
loaded with wheat, peaches, melons and other
fruits.
Supplies—Th* market is well supplied with
all the leading artioles of trade, though it
seems not to be overstocked with any. Corn
seemed to have aooumlated a few days ago;
but it is not not now above the demaud. The
prioe remains firm.
Dby Goods—There is that lull in dry goods
which always intervenes the Hummer and Fall
trade; yet the market in leading artioles is
fair; iu faot a good show of business is made
all aronnd.
Quotations remain without material ohange.
A full prioe list will be found in our table
below:
