The Commercial, of Sanday, says: There

and whito. Shelled will not command any
more than ear, and tho latter is iu most cases
preferred. Some lots were offered nt $1 05,
to arrive next week.
Lard is inactive. Kottle-reudercd Loaf is
held at 194 to 20o for country and city, with
small traiiHactioiiH. Keg Lard is quoted at
21c.
Bulk mints arc quiet. Shoulders are, in
most cases, held at 14o for loose, but some
light avorages were offered at 13 to 14c. IUb
Sides are in requost at lGfio, but are bold 4o
higher. No clear rib Sides wore on the mar
ket. Clear Sides aro not easy to buy uuder
174c.
There was a moderate jobbing business iu
icon. Shoulders are quoted at 154c. Clear
rib sides were bought at 184o, and dear sides
ut 18J to 19c for fresh packed. Sugar-cured
hams are dull at 23 to 24c for city brands.

following : A steady activity prevailed in tli
market during the past week, and prices have

demand was mostly for bacon and hams, and

market during the past two days has shown a
weakening tendency, but as yet uo material
liangitH have occurred iu prices. The market
closed to-day with sales of 20 casks dear sides
at 10jc; 20 casks clear rib sides at 194c, nnd a
small sab- of shoulders at 16ic. We quote:

Hams -Are in active demand, but no sales
