Business—Trade to-day was good for Mon
day. We found our merchant* doing a flue
order busineas, while there were quite* num
ber of buyers in the city. Demand for grocer
ies, provisions, bagging stuffs etc., is very
lively.
Cobn—Stock is better than it has been for
some time. Demund continues good. It is
quoted a little easier at $1 40. We heard of
a few sales at $1 37 i.
Oats—Are scarce and activo at 80 to 86 cents.
Meats—While quotations are not material

stiffening in the market.
