Miller, Esq., a member of the Brunswick Bar, says the Appeal, visited the term of Court held in Camden county on the Uth day of November, and started on his way home on the 16tb of said month. After leav ing the house of Mrs. Lang in Camden county, on the afternoon of the last named day, he has not been since seen. Diligent search and enquiry ha* been made, without any traces of his whereabouts having been discovered, and the opinion prevails that there has been foul play upon his person. Some time in July last, a murder was com mitted in the adjoining county of Barke—Mr. Adkins D. Lewis being stabbed in a horrible manner by a negro m«a named Doa OuJtiy, whom he bad in his employ. On Thursday, says the Chronicle and Sentinel, the prisoner was put on trial for the offence iu the Superior Court of Burke County and found guilty of murder. His Honor Judge Gibson sentenced him to be carried to the iail of Richmond County for safe keeping, and on the fourteenth of next January to be tuken baok to Waynes boro and there hung. The Augusta Constitutionalist of Saturday says: Prof. 8. A. About eleven o'clock yesterday morning, says the Rome Courier of Saturday, oar city was startled by a terrible concussion that shook tho houses, rattling the doors and win dows, and sounding like heavy artillery. It was occasioned by the bursting of the boiler at tbe steam mill of Wadsworth, Williams A Co., near the Rolling Mill. At the time of the explosion Mr. 8.
