The negroes are a gregarious race, end; they are dispos ed to settle in villages and towns, and to cling together. The 1,000 fugitive slaves in Toronto wash linen, make shirts, are blacksmiths, bricklayer*, carpenters, eboetnarkers, painters, ,<fcc.
