Frith for a picture hart brought out a letter, io the Lon don Atheneum, from Mr. Flotow, who states that he had agreed to pay Mr. Frith tho sum of eight thousand guineas for apitlurs repre senting the “ Lifo at Railway Station." This is the highest price that lie has ever been paid for a modern picture, in addition to the eight thousand guineas, the dealer paid seven hundred and fifty guineas for the copyright, making in all £9,187 10s. nr $13,750.
