The river is falling, with 12 feet wa'eron the Bhoale. The weather yesterday was rainy. The Mayduke is the regular packet for Pa ducah to-day. She leaves at 12 M. The Gen. Anderson leaves at 12 M. for Cairo. The fine steamer 8am Kirkinan, arrived on Sunday night from Cincinnati, with a good trip. She leaves for Ohio riter this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Red Rover leaves for New Orleans to morrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Hazel Dell, Capt. Metcalf, came iuto port yeatsrday from Cincinnati. THANKS. For though tbe burning building was surrounded by frame dwellings, and a high wind blowing at the time, their almost super human exertions preveated any further pro gross of the flames, by which a vhsI amountof property, aud probably life, hus been saved.
