FULTON iUPBBIOB COUNT. THIRD WEEK—APRIL TERM, 1861. The Grand Jary, •■pannelled and sworn, for the third week of April Term, 1801, for the Superior Court ef Fulton County, beg leave to make (be following general present ments : In regard to the Boeke of the various coun ty officers, we eoneur with the Jury ef the se cond week, and recommond that C. H. Strang, C. M. Payne and M. R. Berry, be appointed a committee to audit the books of the Clerks of (he Superior and Inferior Courts, Sheriff, Ordinary and County Treasurer, under the di rection of the Inferior Court, and that they report to the Grand Jury for the 1st week of the October Term, 1861, of ibis Court. And further, that (be Inferior Court be authorised to fill any vacaooy on said committee, and for which service! said committee shall receivs a liberal compensation. We are pteesed with the practical working of our Poor House, as being conducted on a plan that will grant relief to the greatest nam- ber of people at the least expense, and we re commend that I the Inferior Court at ones en large accommodations, so a> to give relief there for all who may be justly entitled to their aid. And, further, that all peraons who are citisene of the county, who ere found begging, be promptly sent there for support, end ell trene- ient beggars be arrested os vagrants, end sent beck from whence they eame, or otherwise summarily disposed of, as in that garb thty may be the means of muoh mischief in these troublous times, by transmitting information to our enemies, and otherwise. We cannot too strongly recommend to our good cltiiens to lend their aid to the officers of ihe law, in soppression of ibe crime of car rying concealed weapons, which we find fre quent among men, boys and youths. A rigid enforcement of (ho laws should be made against all violation of tho law in this reepecL In view of the present internecine war which threatens us, we cannot too strongly urge up on ell our oitizens lhe propriety of fully or ganising oar Militia, and making up Compan ies which will exercise in drilling. And, for this purpose, we recommend that ail persona having the good of their country at heart to organize themselves into companies, and arm themselves as best ss they cen, and by fre* queot meetings and drills, be ever ready for active and effective service; but that these companies ought not to be entitled to the priv ileges usually granted toVolunteer Companies. Through our oomaiitteee, we have reports in regard to the public roads in the county, and with the exception of White Hall road, they are in tolerable condition for the season, but hope that those having them in charge, wlll by Fall, endeavor to have them in such order as to furnish tho travel that pose over them, through next winter, a safe eonveyanoe. We also eadorse the recommendation of the Grand Jury of the second week, in regard to the re establishment of the City Court. In taking leave of His Honor, Judge Bull, we tender him our thaoke for bis eourtesy to this body ; also to our Solicitor General N. J. Hammond, Esq., for hie affability, industry and courtesy iu waiting on this body. We recommend ths publiootion of thrss Present meets in the Daily pepere of the city. S. J. SHACKELFORD, Foreman. Wm.
