C., June 10.—Some little commotion was created yesterday ia conse quence of the reported landing of Federal troopa below, on the Coast. It is believed, to day, that it was only Federal vessels on a block ading expedition. The Raleigh Standard learns that nsarly two hundred eompenies of State Volunteers have tendered their services to the Governor. The Permanent Constitution of the Confede rate States has been ratified by the State Con vention, unanimously. New Oblrans, June 10.—No sales of Cot ton to day. Quotations nominal. Tbs mailboats will resume their trips on Wednesday, runniog tri weekly. That Blockade.—The on dit among our merchants yesterday, was that Seward had intimated to Lord Lyons that the blookade of the port of Charleston has never been inter mitted: that when the Niagara was ordered elsewhere, the Harriet Lane filled her place; and when the Harriet Lane left, the Minnesota replaced her. The best reply to this rather impudent assumption of the Abolition Secre tary of State is to be found in the following list of arrivals during the alleged effective blockade. The list is copied from the Custom House book of entrances : May 18— Atrivals of schooner Paugssset, Darien ; English ship A & A, Belfast; steam er Carolina, Jacksonville. May 1G-—Sobooner H. & J. Nield, Cardenas; English brig J. P. Nevius, Glasgow. May 17—Steamer Cecils, Jacksonville ; English ship Sir Allan McNab, Liverpool. May 27--English schooner Eliza and Cath arine, from Bahama Islands.—Charleston Mercury. « A beautiful saddle, made of raw hide, after the Mexican style, mounted with silver, and in every respect ingeniously and richly pre pared, was exhibited at the Adams’ Express oflioe, Augusta, Ga., as it was about to be sent to Richmond as a present to President Davis. It was made at Kingsviile, South Carolina, and is supposed to bs a present from Gov. Hammond.— Richmond Examiner. COMMERCIAL. aaroBTiD daily by wm. a. BAzaae. ATLANTA, June 11, 1861. Sugars have slightly advanced, but can be obtained at reasonable rates. The news from the West is unimportant.— Bacon is worth &}@6} cents at Cincinnati, and thousands of dollars worth is rotting beneath a scorching sun, which can neither be aold nor shipped, very much to the satisfaction of the Confederate States, but not so much to the own er’s satisfaction. Geode are still arriving from points West, but are not needed. We have the greatest plenty. MONETARY. Nothing special to notice.
