This prize ot tains its own name from the certain
succes® which has attended it through 1 s
trying circumstances, namely, “five days, the
same success which followed it in a Northern lati

Indian thief Wabenothe, or Great Moon, whilst
he with others was pursuing the lucrative Fur bu

Wabenoshe priced highly and use it with invariable

valued virtues have already enriched to an a most
incredible extent the chi dien of this war ike prince,
not only by actual sale of the article itself to in

at enormous prices to the thiel of every tube ot
Indians in America, with a solemn promise to the

free to use it in their respective tribes, which

DR. MILES’ COMPOUND EXTRACT OF
TOMATO —a substitute for Calomel, and
j docs not belong to the family of quack medicines;
for the reaso 1 that the component parts are made
known to the faculty, or any one else that may
wish to know, by any of the agents keeping them
for sale. Sirce this discovery so long and anx

I say nothing ol the difficulty of raising the Tomato
I so far North.
i Dr. Miles, of Cincinnati, is the proprietor of the
Tomato Pills (proper) for the great benefits of
which, he hoi Is himself bound, and in honor pledg

i profess to be, and will do for otheis what they
have done fer such as mav have used them; as
this is a vege able of great use, and value, it will
doubtless be valuable information to families to
know that the Yellow are just doubly as valuable
as the iced Tomato, and produces twice as much
ol the hapatir e, or active principle, and when used
as a daily vegetable wilt be found to keep the
system in much better condition than the other
kind ; many will recoiled with w-hat trembling
i anxiety calomel has been given to children, and
how they then wished for a substitute. It has
■ long been known that the Tomato contained ca
-1 thaitic principles, but not uutii of late was it
ascertained t! at they contained alterative and diu
retic properties. The Faculty embrace and use
the preparation most cheerfully, for the reason that
1 they know w lat it is Were it a patent mystery,
they would be bound to reject the medicine, as they
justly do the one thousand and one cure-alls of the
day. If you wish to cleanse the system with a
mild, sa.e anti-bilious medicine, use the Tomato
Pill, of which a supply, we learn, will soon be in
this city. We all know something about this.

Radical Cure ol Henna 01 Rupture, by Dr.

1 fIIHE subscriber has opened an office, at the Dt U' r
I X store ol t.essrs. J. J. Robertson &Co., for the
treatment of Hernia or Rupture, by means of these
1 ustly celebrated instruments. He has now used
, them for nearly a year, and, did not delicacy forbid,
he could name several persons who have been radi
cally cured , 0 this truly distressing and dangerous
affection, by the useof these Trusses, besides manv
! others who are in a fairway of being entirely re

; mitcee ol the Philadelphia Medical Society on the
i Radical Gure of He-ma.
1 “ The insti lments of Or. Chase have effected
i the permanent and accurate retention of the in
testines in every case of Hernia observed by the
j committee, without material inconvenience to the
j patient, and often under trials more severe than
| ate usually ventured upon by those who wearother
trusses; trial* that wou:d be imprudent w-ith any
other apparatus known to the committee.”
“ The committee are induced by the foregoing
conclusions to recommend, in strong terms the in
struments ol Dr. Chase to the confidence of
the profession, as the best known means of me
chanical rete rtion in hernia, and as furnishing the
highest chances of radical cure.”
The fol.owing is from the Southern Medical and
Southern Jou ual, published in ur own city.
“ All must admit of the radical cure of hernia,
and that Dr. ( base’s T russes are decidedly the best
; yet invented to effect the object.”
Persons from a distance can have the instrument*
applied, upon application at the office, and all ne
cessary information given to enable them to adjus
it themselves. The poor, who are laboring under
this afflicting complaint, will be treated gratuitous

fortune, however, as she was in this situation, ex
pect ng every day to be her last, your pil'o were
introduced into my family, and so speedy and pal
pable were their effects that three doses visibly re
lieved her, and in less than three months she was
perfectly restored to health. This case, I and all
who were witness of it, (but more especially the
suffering party,) considered to be the next thing to
miraculous; and yet 1 could mention many more
of an equally desperate nature, in which your pills
were equa ly successful in rescuing the patients
from the jaws of death. Need 1 add that the popu

this section of the country p But this 1 presume
you know from the immense quantity you dispose

its general use, 1 never heard an individual compdaiu

To Dr. Peters, —Sir—For upward" of fifteen
months, I have been ciueily afflicted with Fever
and Ague; and during the time could imd nothing — i
though I had appli< d to every tiling that gave me !
any thing like permanent relief. At length, how- I
ever, your pills were recommended to me, by one
of oui best physicians, and 1 am most grateful and !
happy in being able to add. that I had scarcely used ;
two boxes when I found that they had restored me j
to perfect health. Since then, various members of |
my family have used them with equal success—
and consequently 1 feel it my duty to apprise you
of the fact, and to request of you to publish this
certificate, as I am anxious to add my public testi
mony to the almost miraculous virtues of your un
rivalled medicine Respectfully yours,
THEODORE JAMES.
