A letter from 11. F. Sherwood, Esq., of New-Yo, t.
q q q. 4 4
New-York, Oct. 9,1837
Dr. D. S. Rowland, —Sir: About the middle >f
ouly last,l accidentally noticed in a newspaper 1 :e
advertisement of the Matchless Sanative, for win h
I percei”e4 you were arent. and which profess d
to be asovereign remedy for consumption. ;
As my r wife was then fast wasting away' w h
his dreadful disease, and as our family phy-sici n
was dailv and anxiously endeavoring to restore 1 r
to health without success, I stepped over to 1 s
health and asited him if he had any objections 0
her talcing this medicine. Le repaed that ; ..c w s
D* rfectly will lag M i*s Sim rwood saould take tint r
r*r*~ racaicm so# imgnt Cfi.<oose } ou; he thos b
it could do her no good, as het lungs were rapidly
consuming, and no human means could save
her.” Still, the Sanative, being recommended by
three physicians who had used it in their practice,
she concluded to give ?t a trial. I sent and pur
chased a phial which she commenced taking throe
times a day, giving a free indulgence to her appe
tite according to the directions. By pursuing this
course, she suTered considerably for the first eight
or ten days, but was shortly able to eat and drink
freely, without the last inconvenience.
Within four weeks from her first using the med
icine, her feeble health and wasted form began to
put on new strength, and she has been gainingfrom
day to day' until the present moment, to the uttei
astonishment of our family physician and friends.—
She is now enjoying a comfortable (though nolper
fset) state ot hea th., is able to be about house and
attend church.
Mrs Sherwood and myse’f are both fully of
opinion, and so are all who know her remarkable
case, t at she owe uer live to the Sanative alone:
and- as there are probably many’ consumptive per
sons in the United States, who have not yet heard
of t!iis medicine, measures ought speedily to be
adopted to have it more general y known.
A number of persons in our neighborhood. I un
derstand. are taking it for other serious complaints,
with very great benefit.
I thirG of going to the South, with my family,
sometime this fall, and in case I do, 1 wilfproclaim
the virtues of the Sanative in that quarter; for al
though some of the physicians here are actively op
posed to it, I do sincerely believe it saved my r wife
from an opening grave.
If you think this letter will serve he public
good, you are at liberty to publish it.

T F.STIMONV No. 2.
One person in our village, who was considered
by his physician to be in a Uonsumption. has taken
tie Sanative, and is now well. Another person,
subject to epileptic Ills, lias been greatly benefited
by’ a sho t course of this medicine. 'There can be
no question hut this medicine has performed won
derful cures in a host of cases, and that it is worthy
of general attention.. — Brunswick Advertiser.

THE MATCHLESS SANATIVE.—By an article
in our paper to-day. it will be seen that this medi
cine has lost none of Us virtues by crossing the At
lantic—for it appears to be working similar cures
in America to those which have astonished Europe.
