LOUIS OFFUN GOELICKE,

The Greatest of Human Bexec-actors.
Citizens of North and South America,,
To Lours Offon GoELica.a, M. D., < f Germany,
[Europe,] belongs the imperishab.e ho/ror of adding
anew and precious doctrine to the science of medi
cine —a doctrine which, thou ;li vehemently opposed
by many of tiie faculty', (of which iiojis a valuable
member,) he prows to ! e as well founded in truth
as any doctrine of Holy Writ —a duct: ine, upon the
ferity of which arc suspended the rives of millions
of our race, and which he boldly challenges his op
pose rs to refute, viz: Consumption is! a disease al
ways occasioned by a disordered •stats of Vis \ it.u
(or Life Principle) of tire human body : (Jff often
secretly lurking in the system for years before
there is the least complaint of the Lungs JfB —and
which may be as certainly, though act so quickly,
cured, as a common cold or a simple headache. An
invaluably precious doctrine this, as iMm parts an
important lesson to the apparently beallliy of Loth
sexes, teaching them that this insidiorjs foe may
be an unobserved inmate of their“ clayey' houses 1 ’
even while they imagine themselves -joeare from
its attacks, teaching them that the graft tecret in the

Tills illustrious benefactor of man is a so entitled
to your unfeigned gratitude, and tire g ; ra itude il a

—whose healing fiat may justly chuny 1 . it such a

the first and last stages,—a medicine which lias
thoroughly filled the vacuum in the Mijfi ria Medica,
and thereby pro red itself the Jj" ConQiu cor of Bn ti

will have abundant cause to bless the, beneficent

which, thougu designed as a remedy for const:;:.,: -

over many diseases of the human system, —a medi

A certificate from three members of] the Medical
Profession in Germany, in Edrape.
We, the undersigned, practitioners of medicine
in Germany, are well aware that, by our course,
we may forfeit the friendship of some ol the (acui
ty, but not of its benevolent members, who are un
influenced by selfish motives. I hough we snail
refrain from an expression ol our opinion, eitne-r
of the soundness or unsoundness of Hr. Gucliek ?
Dew doctrine, we arc happy to say that we deem
Ins Sanative too valuable nut to no gcueiauv
known-—for what our eyes behold and our ears
hear, we must believe.
We hereby sta c, that when Dr. Louis OUen
Coelick first came before the German public, as
the pretended discoverer of a new doctrine and a
new medicine, we held him in the Highest con
tempt, believing and openly pronouncing him lo be
a base impostor and the prince ol qracks. But, on
hearing so much said about the Sanative, against it
and for'it, wc were induced, from motives of cun
osiiy*»nerclv, to make trial oi it- reputed virtues
upon’a number of our most hopeless patients ; am.
wo now deem it oar bounden duty (evoa at tee
expense of self-interest) publicly to acknowledge
its efficacy in curing not only consumption, but
other fearful m iladies, which wc have heretolorc .
believed to be incurable. Our contempt ior the
discoverer of this medicine was at once swallowed
Dp in our utter astonishment at these unexpected
results; and, as amends for our abuse ol him, wc
do frankly confess to the world, that we believe
him a philanthropist, who does honor to tbe pru.es-
SK, b and to our countiy, which gave lum biith.
The recent adoption of this medicine into some
0 our European hospitals, is a sufficient guarani;,
that it performs all promises. It needed not our
cstimony, for wherever it is used it is its own best
