Sugar — Louisiana —Since our repeat of Wednes
day last the market has remained vv- y inactive in
regard to sales, not over 100 hhds haying been dis
posed of, at prices within the rangeitof our former
quotations —say 6 (d) cents —most|of the trans
actions being at 7 0 7| cents, and on y very small
lots of prime commanding our nighe i i gurcs. 'J’he
stock, however, has been very materially reduced
within the last few days, the holders on specula
tion having shipped to other markets, so that there
is very little now remaining, out of £rocars hands,
and we are likely to have a pretty clear market
for the reception of tire now crop, Havana Sugars
continue in limited request at our former range of
prices. ii-
Molasses —Some further lots arrived, and
in the absence of any but the most limited demand
prices have given way. We now Ladle at 21 0
22 cents gallon, ti Darrels.
Flour —Since our last report the Receipts have
again been large, amounting to 4.580 iparreis j and
although there has been some little d. naud for the
West Indies, ihe market, generally, has continued
very dull, at a fmthcr slight decline. The sales
for export, since Tuesday, amount ta about 2000
bbls, at 8 1 374 0 4 50, the greater part at the for
mer price. We are advised of one:sale of some
20 to 300 barrels, as low as $4 25| but we con
sider 44 37] 0450 to have been the),« neral raar
k*t rate yesterday, and quote accordingly.
Bacon —Some few small parcels |ave come in
within the laA day 01 two, but the |tock of good
quality Bacon is still limited, and prices remain
the same as before quoted, with a ‘Moderate de
mand. Canvassed Hams 12A 0 13c : nts; uncan
vass»d do. It 0 12 ; Sides, 104 0 II; Shoulders,
$4 4»' 9 cents. *
tTkiskey —We have no improvement to notice
in this article. The market continues bmthened
with a very large stock, while tire demand, at the
same time lime, is unusually limited. Our last
quotations—say 22 0 23 cents pv gadon for Recti
fied, and 22 cents for Common —still remain cur
rent, though must of the sales during the last day
or two have been at the lowest figure?, and prices
seem tending to further dc line. j
Exchange —During the past few d;iys there has
been rather less offering on New fr’ork, and a
slight improvement has taken place h bills at 60
days sight, which we now quote at A U ct discount
to par. *
