The following is the language of the com mittee ot the Philadelphia Medical Society on the Radical Cure of Hernia. “ The instruments of Dr. Chase have effected the permanent and accurate retention of the in testines in every case of Hernia observed by the committee, without material inconvenience to the patient, and often under trials more severe than are usually ventured upon by' those who wcarcther trusses; trials that would be imprudent with any other apparatus known to the committee.” “ The committee are induced by the foregoing conclusions to recommend, in strong terms, the in struments of Dr. Chase to the confidence of the profession, as the Best known means of me chanical retention in hernia, and as furnishing the highest chances of radical cure.” The foLowing is from tlie Southern Medical and Southern Journal, published in own city. “ All must admit of the radical cure of hernia, and that Dr. Chase’s Trusses are decidedly the Best yet invented to effect the object.” Persons from a distance can have the instruments applied, upon application at the o ..ce, and alt ne cessary information given to enable them tu adjus it themselves.
