HIS incompaiafi'e and invaluable remedy so long known, aod used with such unparralleied success in the Canadas for the last 30 yeais, ap pears to need no panegyric. Its operation upon the human system is such that it invariably acts like a charm, for thc relief and radical cure of a certain , common and disagreeable “ills the flesh is heir to.” I his prize btains its own name from the certain | success Inch has attended it through all of its trying c cumstances, namely, “five days,”—the same su .css which followed it in a Northern lati tude still obtains in a more Southern. The formula or recipe was obtained at great expense, intrigue , and hazard by M. Gheveres, from the celebrated Indian Chief Wabekothe, or Great Moon, whilst he, with others was pursuing the lucrative Fur bu siness in the North-west with the Indians.— U abenoshe prized highly and use it with invariable success throughout ii is two tribes. Its known and valued virtues have already enriched to an almost incredible extent the children of this warlike prince, not only by actual sale of the article itself to in dividuals, but by parting with copies of his receipt at enormous prices to the Chief of every tribe of Indians in America, with a solemn promise to the Great Spirit, never to divulge the ‘art of its com position until he sleeps with his fathers,” although tree to use it in their respective tribes, which places it in the hands of every Indian who rely with, I may say, religious confidence on its cura ble pow ers Below is a copy of the translation as near as it can bo anglisized of thc deed gi>c-n by \Vabenoshe, to M.
