“ The instruments of Dr. Chase have effected '

committee, without material inconvenience to the
patient, and often under trials move severe than
i are usually ventured upon by' those who wear-other

HERMITAGE EXTRACT.—This lately in
vented Combination of delightful odors, has
• acquired a just popularity, not only by reason ol
I the strength and delicacy, but of the extraoidina
:ry duration of its perfume. Whilst the strength of
i many other extracts and essences is almost as eva-
I ncsccnt as the bloom of the flowers from which
i they' are derived, ti.e Hermitage retains its fra
grance for an in efini e length of time, and is
scarce to be removed from thp garment on which it
is poured, by washing; hence it is probably the
cheapest and most delightful perfume of our labora
tories.
