MILES’ COMPOUND EXTRACT OF TOMATO —a substitute for Calomel, and does not belong to the family of quack medicines; I for the reason that the component parts are made i known to the faculty, or any one else that may 1 wish to know, by any of the agents keeping them i for sale. It has long been known that the Tomato contained ca ! thartic principles, but not until of late xvas it I aicertaint i that acy contained alterative and diu retic properties. The Faculty embrace and use the preparation most cheerfully, for the reason that they know what it is Were it a patent mystery, they would be bound to reject tire medicine, as they i justlv do the one thousand and one cure-alls of the day.* If you v. i:h to cleanse the system with a mild, sa.e anti-bilious medicine, use the Tomato Pill of which a supply, we learn, will soon be in hiscity.
