t, certificate from three members of the Medical :
Profession in Germany, in Europe.
We, the undersigned, practitioners ol medicine !
.n Germany, are wed awaie that, by our course, ;
we may forfeit the friendship of some of tin fatul- j
ty,butnot of its oeuevo.eut members, who are un- 1
iuiluenceil by sc ush motives, Though we shall ,
refrain fiom an expression of our opinion, either I
of the soundness or unsouuduess of Dr. v.oelick’s j
new doctrine we are happy to say that we deem :
his Sanative too valuable not to be generally j
known—for what our eyes behold and our tars j
hear, we must believe.
We hereby sta e, that when Dr. Louis Often
Goelick tirst came before the German public] as
the pretc idetl discoverer of a new doctrine and a
new medicine, we lie Id him in the highest con
tempt, believing ..ud openly pronouncing him to be
a base impostor . d the prince ol quacks. But,on
hearing so much said about the Sanative, against it
ni lor it, we were induced, from motives ol ema
il* merely, to make trial of its reputed virtues
upon a number of oar most hopeless patients; and
've now deem it our bounden duty (even at the
expense of self-interest ) publicly to acknowledge
its e.Bcacy in curing not only consumption. Lot
other fearful maladies, which we have he re to tore
Relieved to be incurable. Our contempt for tie
discoverer of this medicine was at once swallowed
up in our alter astonishment at these unexpected
results; and, as amends for our abuse of him, we
do frankly confess to tire world, that we believe
him a philanthropist, who does honor to the profes
tiut, and to our countiy, which gave him birth.
The recent adoption of this medicine into some
o our European hospitals, is a sufficient guaranty
that it performs all promises. It needed not our
estimaay, for wherever it is used it is its own best
