X. The Islands of Malta, Gqzo, and
Gomino, shall be restored to the order of

war, and under the following regulations;

queued to furnilh 2900 men, natives of
his dominions, to fqrve as a ganhba in
the different fortrefl'es of thcfaid iilands.
This fbree lhall remain there a year, from
the reltitution to the knights; and if, at
the expiration thereof, the order fliali
not have levied a fulHcient force in. the
judgement of the guarantee-powers, to
serve as garrison to the iliand and its de
pendencies, as fpecified in fed. sth, (he
