A ration to confid of eighteen ounces of bread or flour, or when neither can be obtained, of one quart of rice, or one and an half pound of lifted or boltcn In. dian meal, one pound and a quarter of beef, or three quarters of a pound ol poik, one gill of mm, whiskey or brandy, and at the rate of two quarts of fair, four quarts of vinegar, four pounds of soap, and one pound and an half of candles to every hundred rations. The price of the fcvcral component parts of the ration, as well as fuhflitutes and alternatives, mufl be fpccificd. The rations are to be furnifhed in such quantities, as that there shall at all times, during the term of the proposed contrails, be fufneient for the cofifumption of the troops at Michillmacinac, Detroit and Niagara for fix months in advance ; arid at each of the other polls on the wetlern waters, for at least three months in ad vance, of good and wholcfcmeprovifions, if the fame fliall L)e .required. It is also to be permitted to ail and every of the commandants of fortified places, or ppfls, to call for; at seasons when the fame can be transported, or at any time in the case of urgency, such supplies of like provisi ons in advance as in the diferetion of the commandant shall be deemed proper. It is to be underflcod that the ccntrailcr is to be at the cxpence and rilk of ifluing the supplies to the Troops and that all losses sustained by the depredations ct an enemy, or by the means of the troops of the United States, shall be paid for by the United States, at the price of the ar ticle captured or destroyed, on the depo sitions of two or mote creditable charac ters, and the certificate of a commiflioned ofliccr, afcert-tinlng the circumstances of the loss, acd the amount of the articles for which compensation shall be claimed. The privilege is to be underflcod to be reserved to the United States of requiring that none of the supplies which may be furnifhed under any of the proposed con trails, fliall be ifl'ued until the supplies. which have been or may be furnifhed un der contrails now in force, have been consumed, and that a supply in advance may be always required at any of the fix ed posts on the seaboard or Indian Fron tiers, not exceeding three months. RUN-AWAY from the fubfenberor the 20th March last, two NEGRO FELLOWS and two NEGRO WENCH ES, viz- Monday, a mulatto fellow, about 38 years of age, is about 6 cet high, Itiaight made, and has something the appearance-of an Indian, he is a country born, fenfiblc fellow, and may attempt to pais for a free man. Rachel, his w ife, a black wench a bout 30 years of age, f feet 8 or 9 inches high, likely and well made.— Nelly, a well made, likely black wench, about 29 years of age, $ feet 6 or 7 inches high —The above deferibed negroes formerly belonged to the efface of Doflor Lyman Hall, dcccafld, and lincc to Jcfeph Watts deceased, of whom I purchaftd them. Alfa a negro man named Stephen, about 25 years of age, 5 feet 7 ur 8 inches high, a black, Aim, straight made fel low, and formerly belonged to‘Jar. Lycn. It is probable that they will keep tege gether, and I expeft will make for the Salts below Savannah, as they ate well acquainted there.
