A letter from a gentleman in Edinburg, (Scotland) to his correspondent in Tren ton, states, that “ the BOX made of the oak that flickered the great Sir William Wallace, after the battle of Felkirk,” which was presented by the Earl of Buchan to the late General Walhington, with a re quest that he would pass it, on the event of his decease, to the rnoft deserving cha racter in this country, but wich was re turned to his lordlhip, is now in the hands of an American gentleman at Edinburg, for the purpose of being transmitted to DoCtor Rufli, of Philadelphia, agreeably to his lordlhip’s determination.
