. Mr. Johnston,
IT has been often, and with too muck truth observed,
that, of the many laws palled for the well governing
this province, few, it any, are properly attended to, parti*
cularly those relating to the town of Savannah. lam loth
to suppose that the fopinenefs or negligence of those gentle
men, whose duty k is to fee them duly executed, is the oc
casion of it: on the other hand, it is scarce reasonable to
think that those laws be io defective as to render the
execution of them tmpradtfable. Whatever may be the
case, 1 hope the legiflarure will, at their next meeting, take
it under their confidention, and remedy if possible the evil
wherever it may appear to be. Os there laws I /hall men
