Hitdical Robbery of (he South.
Tl.c Washington Patriot of the 22d
ult. hits «n nrrtjof statistics, giving some
faint idea of the erroneous frauds, rob
beries and plnuderings of the people by
bayonet Radical rule in the South, which
wo annex to these remarks, and ask the
special attention of the Legislature to it.
The plunderers in Georgia have not
■ucoeeded as well as in other States. Dr.
Angier has been tn their way—though
the extent to which it has been done can-
not be known till a thorough investiga
tion is had—the performance of which
devolves on the preaont Legislature, and
which, we havo nc doubt, they will thor
oughly do by an able and impnrtiul joint
committee of both Houses.
In this investigation the principal men,
and the clerks and books of Now
York houses, with whom Bullook
and Kimball have had dealings,
must be carefully examined and searched,
and the holders of the bonds which
have been issued by Bullock must be
hunted up, and the manuur of their pos
session must bo inquired into carefully.
This important duty will require able
mon—able and experienced aooountants
and financiers, and such, wo trust, will bo
placed on tho committee.
The article referred to, commuuc.es by
alluding to the great cry of the Radiculs
about tho Democrats of New York rob
bing that city—a charge whieh every
Radical editor and politician knows is
uufounded and unjust; for, whatever of
wrong doing they may bo guilty of in
that city, it is only in a single community,
and is a local concern, and the Democratic
people of that city are dealiug with it
sternly uud in their own way—not being
hindered by bayonets; and, besides, all
the New York stealing is mainly tho re
sult of a Reform Charter imposed on tho
city by the Radical Legislature of that
State; while tho robberies of tho South
ern States is a matter for which Grant
and the Radical Congress, and the whole
Radical party, is responsible, and from
whieh they cannot escape; for they havo
pinned us down with bayonets and
mnuacled us, while their agents and
favorites have rifled our pockets.
And,the Patriot might havo added, thut
the Now York robbery was performed by
those axalUtl Democrats, who have tried
to kill the party. They are the moneyed
men of the country—the bloated, bonded
aristocracy—who, though Democrats in
other days, are now unwilliug for the
Democracy to come into power, lest they
might be made to pay their part of tho
taxes, like those who are not rich.
The follow ing is tho article. Read and
study it carefully:
"A subject of fur greater magnitude uud
graver import, affecting tho whole connj
try, demands attention at our hands.

Radical robbery in three yearn $220,911,747
Appalling ns these figures are, they do
not represent the entire indebtedness by
tens of millions. The Radical authorities
have deliberately concealed and misrep
resented the actual and outstanding ob
ligations, for political effect This gi
gantic debt was mostly incurred during
the Inst three years, under pretext of
building railroads and mulling other im
provements. But the bonds were fold
and stolen, and there is nothing to show
for the two hundred and twenty-six mil
lions, but the sudden wealth of carpet
bag Governors, office-holders and mem
bers of Congress, who shared the spoils.
Literally nothing.
But the oppression uud outrage upon
these unfortunate people docs not cud
here. Nqt satisfied with tho plunder
thus appropriated in the shape of bonds;
by means of corrupt uud infamous legis
lation, the screw has been turned wher
ever Radicalism still holds possession of
power, by the most outrageous couuty

Bullock Heard From.
A telegraphic dispatch from Washing
ton to the Savannah Nates, of the 30th
inst., says:
Bullock arrived burn early ye«lt-r<l*y morning and
had a long interview with Senator Cameron, during
ii of Governor of Georgia
u Conley, tl*e Prcsidoi
of the
baud* of Benjamin
Senate.
That’s it 1 A long interview with Cam
eron ! Trying to curry favor with Grant
und the Radical Faction, and bo sent
back here as Military Governor, so as to
stop investigation into the couduct of him
self and his accomplices in crime. That’s
it.
Bullock and Blodgett unco stood high
with Grant und the Radical Faction, but
somehow the President turned against
them both. Bullock is now, no doubt,
importuning tho President and his
friends for a restoration of confidence
and mntcriul assistance in this hour of
trial.
Wo aro sorry for Grant—bored and
importuned, os he, no doubt, is, for a re-
estnblishnu ut of friendly relations, and
tho granting of material aid, by two such
men as Bullock and Bard.
