The roaolutione rescinding the resolu tions passed at the last session in relation to the payment of Executive warrants, and the 20th section of tbo appropriation act, beipg the unfinished business of Sat urday, was then taken up. Senator Camtbell resumed his re marks in opposition to the resolutions. Mr. Camdlbh opposed the resolutions because they are unconstitutional, us re lating to moro than one subject matter; and that a resolution is not of sufficient solemnity to suspend or repeal an exist mg law. Mr. Hinton claimed that tho resolu tions aro warranted by precedent, and such precedents liavo been sustained by tho Courts; that tlioy do not violate tlio Constitution, and in the n3cefsity for immediate action, ought to be adopted. Mr. Reese moved to refer the resolu tions to the Judiciary Committee; car ried. Mr. Hillyem offered u resolution to provide temporarily for tho printing of tho Senate and directing the Secretary to make a suitable arrangement therefor; adopted.
