Columbus, Ga., Nov. 2I», 1805--6t Troup Supkriok Court.—Tho No* vembor Term of this Court was commen ced at 12 o’clock, M., on Alonday last—4 Judge B. II. Bighara presiding, with N. J. Hammond as Solicitor General. But few litigated casas came ^ trial— the majority of tho nasos beingglleferred until tho next Court Term—when a striot enforcement of tho rules will be insisted on—whuroas now they were waived on account^ of the absence of parties and counsel, and the distiacted condition of tho country. A small p»ox cuse came to trial on Tues day, in which Dr. Sappington recovered $1,000 in currency from the State by ver- diet of a special jury, for services render ed in small pox in 18C2. His original claim was $1,200 in Confederate money. A case of cotton stealing was disposed of, in which an old man by the name of S. S. Strickland, 60 or 00 years old, was convicted and sentenced to the Peniten tiary for three years. He claimed to have bought the cotton from a negro. W. O. Tuggla and C. F.
