The danoe went on to a late hour—the merry quadrille, the stately lahoera, th* luaoious waits, and thrilling gallu—all adding to the pleasures of the night that many wished had no ending. An exeellant rapper served ax an inter lude in the round of mirth, and the joy ous assemblage went home to dream of manly forms and beautiful faces.
