dent: “Corporal John Smith, with four
man, were employed reoently on detail
duty a lew miles from Fort Sill, Indian
Territory. They were snrronnded ky a

tions. The soldiers took to tbs only

the Indians at a distance for the day and

grel dog, which had followed them from
