On Sunday, about 11 o'clock, the prop erly of Mr. Bob Forsyth, in Girard, was fired by an iuoandiary in two plnaee. A giu house, filled with hay and fodder, was entirely ooniutued, together with n shed containing some $6110 of wagons and wagon material, and $600 of lumber. In addition to this, Mr. Forsyth lost fire hundred bushels of sweet potatoes whioh wars baked in Ibe bank. Tha firs pre sented a brilliant appearance, as seen from thin side of tba river. Both houses were fired at tba same time, and roofs were falling in when owner of property was awaked. Mr. Forsyth estimates his loss at $4,000—$!l,000 of whioh was cot- •red in aa insurance oumpany represented by Dr. Win. P. Turner. The property was located on the creek in Oirnrd. The fire it self did very little damags, but that from water end breakage was heavy—variously estimated from $1,600 to $9,000. A big stream of water darting from a steam an gina through a drug store is apt to eraata havoc among bottles. Officer Mo- Eachran oaught hold of hU wrist and Mur phy took tha weapon away, putting it in bU own pooket. M. L. Bagley then drew a weapon from his bosom and fired at Morphy. Bradford witnessed the firing from the Oonrt House steps. Tha doctors testified deceased received two wonndt—one entered below tha shoulder blade and cams oat jut above tha breastbone near the neck, tha other was lower and nearer tha backbone. Both ware in tha book. Either would have killed. When asked on inquest if ha fired at M. L. Baglay, offloer MoEachren declined to answer. Tin vnanioT.
