There is trouble reported at Whistler
between the Mobile and Ohio and a nuin’

but Mr. Carson, the master mechanic,

The serious illness of Mr. E. E. Binavu
recalls to mind that he is one of the seven
survivors of the Macon Volunteers, who

Belkeley and Joseph K. WeJls reside in
Macon, Judge J. C. C. Clark in Dawson,

Brown is thought to be too ill to last much
longer. It is a long way back to the days
of Bowlegs and ’35. It covers the space of
half a century, and in a few years more

An adjourned term of Clay superior court
•aas held at Fort Gaines on Wednesday for
the purpose of re-sentencing Willis Hud
son and Isabella Honey, who were con
victed at the last September term, of the
murder of Marion MiHirons. when Isabella
Roney was sentenced to the penitentiary
for life, and Willis Hudson to hang on
February 19.

The body of the negro found lying dead
on the M. and E. R. R., was Identified as
that of Jim Foster. The jury summoned
to hold an inquest rendered a verdict that
the said Jim Foster, colored, came to hi*

Capt. and Mrs. J. M. Cheney, of Mont

Samuel N. McKay, of Columbia county,
who killed Lewis Grant January 12, 1S70,
