A remarkably youthful family attracted considerable attention at the Union depot in Montgomery Wednesday morning. The family was composed of three mem bers. a husband and wife and one child. The husband is seventeen years old, the wife just sweet sixteen and the child came to bless the union three months ago. The mortuary report of Montgomery shows that the interments in the city cem etery for the month of August, including yesterday, number seventy-four. Of this number seventeen were whites and fifty- four colored; five whites and thirty-seven colored were non-residents. A Mr. McLeod, living two miles from Skipperville, near Euiaula, was sick and sent to a neighbor’s for some quinine. By mistake a bottle of strychnine was sent him, and he took a teaspoonful, enough to kffil a regiment. He was dead in fiiteen minutes.
