In October, 1885,1 contracted that dread
ful disease, blood poison. I went under
treatment of a physician at once. At the
end of the first month I became alarmed
at the progress of the disease in my sys
tem, and abandoned the doctor. A friend
told me of S. 8. S and its wonderful effects.
I gave it a trial, and began to improve
with the first bottle. I nave taken ten
bottles, and am to-day a well man. To all

What a Spartanburg physician has to
say in praise of Westmoreland’t Calisaya
Tonic:
“I am delighted with the benefit I have
derived from taking Calisaya Tonic. I
consider it an 1 excellent preparation. My
health is now better than it has been for
years. It tones up the stomach, and gives j
life and vigor to th<

Mrs. Phasbe Chesley, Peterson, Clay Co.,
Iowa, tells the following remarkable story,
the truth of which is vouched for by ti'ie
residents of the town : “I am 73 year's old,
have been troubled with kidney complaint
and lameness for many years; could not
dross myself without help. Now I am free
from all pain and soreness, and am able to
do all my own housework. I owe my
thanks to Electric Bit ters for having re
newed my youth, and removed completely
all disease and pain.”

Tin- Steel mill Tribute.
The duty on steel rails which Mr. Blaine
has invested with such wonder-working
power, so far from increasing the pros
perity of the country, has created and en
riched a gigantic monopoly at the expense
of the public interests. It levies tribute
upon every new line of railroad and upon
every old line that is obliged to renew its
rails. And this enhances the cost of reights
to every consumer in the land. Yet this is
the tariff idol in whose honor the Maine
statesman/ has erected an altar.—Philadel

Those who suffer from foul breath are
open to the charge of carelessness. It is
an offense that can be speedily abated as a
single bottle of the fragrant SOZODONT
will unmistakably accomplish the work.
It will preserve and keep the teeth white,
and the breath pure and sweet.

Advice to Mothers.—Mrs. Winslow’s
Soothing Syrup should always be used
when children are cutting teeth. It re
lieves the little sufferer at once; it produces
natural, quiet sleep by relieving the child
from pain, and the little cherub awakes as
“bright as a button.” It is very pleasant
to taste. It soothes the child, softens the
gums, allays all pain, relieves wind, regu
lates the bowels and is the best known
remedy for diarrhoea, whether arising
from teething or other causes. Twenty-
five cents a bottle. jel7 d&wly
