Candler, editor of the Christian Advocate, and Dr.

The German Last Night.
One of the mast interesting social events of the
Season was the german at the Hotel Riddle last
night. It was given by Miss Willie Watt, com
plimentary to her guests, Miss Florence Roberts
nnd Miss Kittie Freeman, of Macon. The at
tendance was very large, and the young ladies
never appeared half so charming, nor were the
young gentlemen ever so attentive and gallant.
At 12 o’clock refreshments were served, after
which the dancing was resumed and continued
nntd the "wee sma' hours.” The favors were
handsome, and every feature of the entertain
ment was perfection. None added more to the
charms of the occasion than the fair and fascinat
ing young visitors. A large number of married
couples were present uud did much to make the
young people enjoy the entertainment.

In another part of this issue we present a large
advertisement headed ‘‘The Giant of M edicines.”
It goes without saying, that II II. Warner & Co.
have educated the people of this country to the
belief, which is rational and well founded, that a
vast majority of human diseases originate in Im
proper action of the kidneys and liver, that
improper action allowing the blood to become
filled with uric and lithic acids, or kidney and
liver waste, which inflame and irritate all the or
gans and thereby produces so many different
diseases. Hence a remedy that will correct the
false action of the kidneys nnd liver and neu
tralize the acids of the system, very naturally
cures all the diseases caused by this excess of
acid iu the blood. At this holiday season no
present would be more acceptable to any suffer
ing friend than a case of a dozen bottles of the
wonderfully effective Warner’s safe cure. The
pi opr etors do not ask you to believe what they
say, but frankly tell you to write to those whose
testimonials are published and to ask your
friends and neighbors what they think of this
greut remedy. That shows how great is their
confidence in the favor of the public, on which
they reckon because of the merits of their prepa
ration.
