The Uraud Jury to day found true bills against n number of tbo alleged participants in the election riots, and also in several cases of assault aud battery with intent to kill. Fourteen r,f the accuscd’partics wera arrested on bench warrants, and officers arc In pursuit of the remainder of them. The Grand Jury in their report say, 1 the exciting causes of the riot aud subsequent bloodshed, in the Fourth Ward, may be ascribed mainly to the presence ol certaiu Baltiuioreaus, joined by a large number of disorderly pci sons ol Washington, at or near the polls. 1 Tho City Council this afternoon accepted the invitation of the Baltimore aud Ohio Rail Road Company to join the Western excursion' ists in Baltimore next Monday, and appointed a committee to extend to them the hospitalities of Washington. The citizens to night hold a meeting to make urrugcme.nts' for a cordial welcome. Tilt* Montreal Disagio. Quebec, July, 17. The Coroner’s Jury have rendersed a ver* -dieted' manslaughter against Wilson, tho owner of the.steamer Montreal. Knntlolpji, the captain, Derval, the pilot, and Roberge, the mate. They also strongly censure Mr. Wilson, sr., the controlling agent.' They recommend the stringent enforcement of the steamboat law.
