Da. 0. O. Woodman, New (Mean*;
My Dear Sir.-—In justice to you end a duty
I owe to a suffering, and, I may say, a world of
roughing people, I state what your invaluabia
Cough Remedy—yeur CHERRY EXPEC
TORANT—ha* done for me, when all other
remedies have failed to give any relief. In the
fall of 1817, living in 8l Louis, where I have
test tied mots of the time for the last eixteen
yean, I took a severe cold, which settled on my
lunge, and was confined to my bed, and doaed
and hfielcred by Joe ton for several weeks, bat
finally got on my legs again, but not cured of
my hard coughing, and rattling and tickling iu
my throat, which continued too omnlly for
more than atx months, always iba womt in the
winter. My friends insisted I had coughed
enough to kill a dozen common meat, and that
I must be in the last stage of eoaeomption. I
made op my mind that I mail oungn my life
away. I left St. Louis in Ikmanhw last, to
travel and spend the winur In the South.—
When|I called at your store in Vicksburg, you
will recollect, I was coughing to hard I could
not make my business known. Yon said you
would cure my cough. As you gavame a bot
tle cf your CHERRY EXPECTORANT, I
thought I would not slight you and your medi
cine so much aa not to try it; and in thankful
ness shall I ever remember the day I did so. In
but a few days, it began to allay and diminish
my cough and tickling in my throat, and be
fore I bad used more than three fonrthe of the
conunta of that bottle,! wee entirely cured, and
for weeks I did not even raise a cough, tbougl
exposed day and nigbt, in all weathers, in tra
veling. However, in Much, white traveling in
Noth Carolina, 1 took a severe cold, and my
roughing commenced again, and alee the tick-
ling in my throat, at internist and before ray
arriving in New Orleans, on the Illh met, on
some night, my coaghing would commence
and continue for an hour at two. 1 toon pro
cured another bottle from yon, and in Use than
two daye I was entirely relieved again. I tm
now determined to always kr*p a bottle on
hind, end in the commencing of a cough, * ve
ry few email doses will relieve it entirely. 1
am now fully satiafied it is the awr COUGH
REMEDY now kntwn to the wurid; and U ia a
duty you owe to the coughing and afflicted
pen ot th* human family, to pat so valuable e
remedy within the reach of alL Its praise* will
soon be upon the tonguesof tens of thousands ot
joyful and coughlere, happy eonle. So great a
remedy as your Expectorant should be brought
before the public.
I am, dear sir, respectfully yours.
