From the Xcw York Sun.
Shortly after 7 oclock last evening Mrs. Vic

ease, and fell unconscious to the floor in her
residence at G East Thirty-fourth street. She
was in her office in Broad street up to 5 o’clock
in the evening. Then she and her sister

stage. On the way Mrs. Woodhull com
plained of illness, and told her sister that
she feared the excitement she was laboring
under regarding their coming trial might re
sult in her death. She ate sparingly at din
ner, and was on her way with Col. Blood
through the hallway from the dining room
staircase to her room when she fell.
Miss Claflin and her mother, who were in
the dining loom, heard the fall, and hasten
ing np stairs, saw Col. Blood bending over
the prostrate form of Mrs. Woodhull. All
three carried her into the bedroom, and laid
her on the bed. Her lace was ashy pale, and
6he was seemingly dead, Restoratives were
applied, but all were useless. Dr. Cummings
and two other physicians were sent for. They, _
after a careful examination, pronounced her l«73.

could have the benefit of his testimony. The
District Attorney intimated that he would do

physicians told her that it would not do to go
into court now, and were urging her to insist
upon a postponement of the cases. She was ^
anxious to be tried, she said, and be done im,
