ATLANTA MEDICAL COLLEGE. X 1 HE SIXTEENTH REGULAR COURSE OF LEC TURES in this Institution will commence on tbs Monday in November next, end continue until the first of March, following. A Fair Bevy off to Stuuiitou, Vs. On last night we saw Capt. Jack Wallace on his way home, escorted by five policemen. We found, upon inquiry, that thirty different attempts had been made ■ sin ate him by the young men of Atlanta. He had been shot at on the street, poisoned whisky had been offered him, dead-fa is had been dug for him, and hia cook had been bribed to mix strychnine with bis bread. We interviewed one of the young men. The causa he assigned for making the assault wss, that he was going to carry fifteen of the belles of At lanta, to Staunton, Va. Mr. Wallace baa promised not to eat anything uutil ha leaves town. He has had a coat of mail made of triple brass and has pledged his word not to leave home without a body guard to-night. Au escort of five men will accompany him to the train iu the morning, which will bear him and a bevy ot swest- to Stanton. Va. A fine sleeping < ar has been provided for their special use. The party will consist of Messrs. Borne people have manifested an anxiety to know how Milton Malone would receive the action of the Supreme Court, la refusing to grant him a new trial.
