A rehearsal is announced for Friday afternoon, when tickets will be given to the members for dis tribution. The question then lieiug i aded, several motions as to the manner in which the vote should be taken were made. As soon as the “eheep were divided front the goats,” the Choir announced that the substitute was lost, when some one demanded “a count.” Messrs. Flynn and Dell were appointed to make the “count.” Both of them agreed that there were thirty-eight in fsror of the substitute. On counting the other party, however, Mr. Flynn claimed forty-one and Mr. Dell thirty-five. This side was marshalled into hue of two deep and count ed several times over. Mr. Flynn claimed 38, Mr. Dell 35. Mr. Flynn then demanded a count of the other aid*. Several parties moved to adjourn, which motions were sot put. Considerable hurrahing and confusion waa the order of the day. Mr. Dell could • not get his side into line, or take any further part in j the meeting. The Chair decided that the substitute , waa lost, and then putt ng a motion to adopt the re- | port of the committee, loud shouts of “aye!” resound ed through tho ball; on negst.ve no one voting, a great portion of the crowd having Wt ibe hall.
