FEA Tll EM KENUV ATO R ,
For Health anil Economy.
f|NIIE subscribers having purchased the right of
1 J. the PA TENT FEATHER DRESSER, (or
i this Stale, would respectfully inform ihe citizens
of A ugnsta and vicinity, that they have one of said
i . Machines in successful operation in Centre street
adjoining the Steam Corn i.ili.
The work is done entirely by the operation of
Steam, no lire coming near the Feathers, and no
possibility of scorching or otherwise injuiing them.
, By this operation all moths are destroyed and te
} moved, without loss or waste of Feathers; on the
I contrary, the bulk is very much increased, many
I times one half, —nothing being removed hut small
. particles of dust, die. They arc also cleansed and
purified from all disagreeable smell that often at
tends Feathers, and are entirely cleansed and dried,
and have the appearance and essential qualities of
New Feathers.
They would invite all house- keepers, and those
who prefer sleeping on pure and soft beds—who
study health and economy, to try, and prove the
Steam Feather Renovator.
All persons are invited to call and see the ma
t chine and its operation, and be convinced of its
i utility.
- N. II —The inhabitants of the city can, by noti
fying the subscribers, have tl eir beds taken from
; their dwellings and returned the same day, we.l
i dressed and ready for immediate use, at S cts. per
s pound; or if they choose to send them in, the price
will be but 7 cents, they washing their own ticks.
People from the country can, by bringing (heir
j beds in early in the morning, usually have them
r the same day.
, Any poison that will fry the experiment, may
send thorn a bed or beds, of any quality of Feathers,
from the best and newest, to the oldest and poorest
they have, provided they are either Geese or Duck
Feathers, and may be assured, no charge wi 1 be
made, in any case, unless perfect satisfaction be
given. DANIEL ALEXANDER,
WILLIAM H. SPECK.
Miu.EDoEviLtr, Ga., (;ct 21, 1839.
We the subscribers hereby certify that we have
tested the ope ations of the Stv un Feather Reno
vator, and from the ellect it had on our feathers,
wc arc fully convinced of its utility; it destroys
the moths, cleanses the feathers, and causes them
to expand with elasticity. We most cheerfully
recommend it to all those who love hea th and
comfort, as they, no doubt, will consider that the
expense of having their beds renovated will be
money well spent.
