The hoard have encaged the servi ces of Mr. C. P. B. Martin, to take charge of the Male Academy. Mr. Martin comes recommended to the hoard as a gentleman of line classical and literary attainments, and who has had considerable experience in tlie business of school teaching. In the Female Department, the services of Miss A. P. Ha3irton have been retained. Miss Hamilton has had charge of this department for the last three years, and has conducted the s ame with great hon or to herself and general satisfaction to her patrons. Tlie department of Music will he filled hy Miss Belcher, a pupil of Mr. Mason of Boston, the gieat amateur and professor of music in that city. ■Bhe is recommended as eminently qualified to fill this department. The hoard have procured, at considerable ex pense, for the use of the Academics, a Philosophi cal, i, heinical and Astronomical apparatus. With such auxiliaries and advantages, the board confidently recommend these institutions as eiffii nently deserving of public patronage. Rates of tuition quite reasonable in each de partment.
