That they desire for them
selves, their associates and as
signs, to be incorporated un
der the name and style of BELL-
RICHARDSON FARMS, INC. for
a period of thirty-five years.

The object of said proposed
corporation is pecuniary d ain
and profit to the stockholders.

The principal business of the
corporation is to engage in gen
eral farming, including the pur
chasing, owning, equipping, and
operating of farms; to manage
farms, and engage in any agri
cultural pursuit or undertaking;
to purchase and sell farms; to
rent and lease farms; to engage
in the business of producing,
merchandising, and preserving
all kinds of farms, fruit, vege
table and garden products, and
of cultivating, growing, har
vesting, picking, cleaning and
assorting, boxing, packing,

shipping of livestock and feed
stuffs incident thereto; and to
carry on all other business

Homecoming was a big event
for everyone. Miss Elizabeth
Albritton was crowned Home
coming Queen of 1962-o3. Miss
Dondra Peed was first runner-
up and Miss Betty Jo Hammack
was second runner - up.
Two members of the Butler
FFA Chapter, Glynn Taunton
and Benny Coward, have won a
position on the FFA Honor Roll
with a 97 average. A lar-e
number of members of the chap
ter have participated in the
community service project of
planting Crepe Myrtle around
the pavement in front of the gym.
We appreciate the boys’ efforts
in making our school just a little
more attractive.
The Valentine Bird Show was
an amusing sight for the stu
dents, Friday.

ORANGE GLAZE CAKE
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
4 cups plain flour
2 tablespoons grated orange
rind
1 lb. dates
1 cup pecans
Cream butter and sugar. Add
one egg at a time. Add soda
to buttermilk and add milk and
flour gradually. Stir in dates and
pecans last. Bake at 325 de
grees for 1 1/2 hours in
tube pan.
Mix 2 cups sugar for icing
with 1 cup orange juice. Heat
to disolve sugar. Add grated
orange juice. Heat to disolve
sugar. Add grated orange rind
and pour over cake while hot.

Holiday Period
ATLANTA (GPS) - Thirty-
seven persons are marked for
death in Georgia traffic
accidents during the Christ
mas-New Year holiday periods.
That's the grim prediction of
the Georgia Department of
Public Safety for the gay holi
day periods extending from
6 p. m. Friday, Dec. 21 through
midnight Tuesday, Dec. 25, and
for the same hours from Fri
day, Dec. 28 through midnight
Tuesday, Jan. 1. Each of these
periods covers 102 hours.
The prediction was made, ac
cording to Col. H. Lowell
Conner, state public safety
director, after a review of
fatality records for Christmas
of present trends. It calls for
all r .

deaths; 15 for New Year’s.
“Each individual should keep
in mind at all times they are
on the streets and highways that
their life is in danger, “Col.
Conner said. "If they realize
this, they will conduct them
selves accordingly . Drivers
should make sure they obey
traffic laws which are designed
to protect lives, limbs andpro-
perty.’’

The Coronation of Miss Eu
reka High, Friday night was
quite magentiqe. The stage
was beautifully decorated with
two arrangements of gladiolas
and mums with an accent of gold
magnolia leaves. Blue and white
clusters of coronations were
placed on the glittering blue
background.
Fifteen gorgeous girls repre
senting the organizations of the
school made up the royal cort
ege. They were dressed in
astonishing multicolor evening
dresses with exquisite acces
sories to match.
The Royal Court consisted of
the first attendant, Doretha
Daniel, with Harvey Edwards
as escort, second attendant,
Frances Jenkins, with Sonny
Hillman as escort, third atten
dant, Mildred Lockhart, with
Sterling Jenkins as escort,
fourth attendant, BessieCarter,
with Johnny Reynolds as escort.
All of the class queens were
radiantly dressed in multi
color evening gowns, with bou
quets to match.
Miss Primary, little Miss
Linda Murray, was lovely in
her white attire. She was
escorted by Master Richard
Carter.
Miss Elementary, Earnestine
Heath, the gem of loveliness,
was wearing a white evening
gown with beauty at its peak.
Her escort was Allen Myles.
Miss Eureka High 1962-63,
Miss Rosie Mathis, “Our Rose,
Our Star, the fairest of them
all," ascended her throne with
dignity. She was delicate and
beautiful to behold in her long
white gown with accessories to
match. As she approached
her golden throne, she was
cloaked by Lorenzo McCrary,
crowned by Miss Eureka High
of 1961-62, Miss Athalene Gray,
and presented the royal bou
quet by the captain of the boys’
basketball team, Harvey Ed
wards.

our coronation exercises.
