We do think it is a magical and specicd time we can come together. It takes a village of volunteers, but no magic was used here, Just hat'd work, team leaders, and dedication . To show our appreciation to groups that gave their time, we needed to publicly say Thank You! Organiza tions included were: Beta Club, Key Club, Terrie Bennett Aj't Instruction, The Golden Rule, Bethel Church, The Church, First Baptist Church of Butler, Reynolds Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff's Office, City of Reynolds, and Taylor County Chamber Of Commerce, Taylor County 10U All Stars Win District Championship The Taylor County 10U All Stars (Minors) won the Dixie Baseball District 2 Minors Championship on June 23rd, in Perry, GA, defeating Lamar County, 7-2 in the Championship Game. The District Champions (l-r) are: front row, Lane Allen, Kyng Brown, denizen Hunter, Bryson Cobb, Dawson Adams, Tyson Hinton, Jackson Cosey, Flint Cross, Bryson Parks, Chandler Stokes, and Maddox Acree; and back row, Coaches Frank Acree and Justin Allen, and Manager Bobby Hinton. Taylor County 12U All Stars Are District Champions The Taylor County 12U All Stars (Majors) Baseball Team defeated Dooly County, 7-6, in the Championship Game June 21st in Ellaville, to claim the Dixie Baseball District 2 Majors Championship. The District Champions (l-r) are: Hugh Harris, Leland Holder, Jake Moncrief and Dawson McCord; and back row, Perry* Robison, Cayden Hunter, Bro gan Hunter; Jaxon Hunter, Jaxon Simmons, Carson Hancock, and Cutter Gibson. They are coached by Manager Lonnie Holder and Coaches Tabb Hunter and Rodolfo “Rudy” Paz, 111. 82 nd Taylor County Camp Meeting Is July 1-9 Taylor County Holiness Camp Meeting will celebrate 82 years of ministry July 1-9, and Rev. Wayne B. Bosworth, President, invites you to attend, Rev. Bosworth issued the fol lowing, “Taylor County Holi ness Camp Meeting - tending to hungry and holy hearts. That is our mission. It informs all that we do. Several firearms were stolen, along with electronic devices. During the course of this investigation, one firearm has been recov ered, and several persons of in terest have been i den tilled. This investigation is ongoing, and the Butler Police Depart ment encourages everyone to follow its 9 PM routine. This routine is: Before 9 PM, every one should make sure that their windows are closed and locked, remove keys, wallets, and other valuables from their cars, and make sure tbeir ve hicles are secure and locked. The Butler Police Department reminds everyone that Butler is a safe community to live in; however, we must all do our part to keep Butler safe, Ifyou see something, say something by dialing 911 and reporting it, Chief Matt Woodard would like to thank Sheriff Jeff Watson and Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, along with Chief Lonnie Holder and the Reynolds Police Depart ment for their assistance with this investigation. Independence Day Parade To Be Held July 5th In Reynolds By VALORI MOORE Council met for the regular Editor monthly meeting and agreed Last Monday night, the Reynolds Mayor and City >See Reynolds Council on p. 6 Stolen Gun Recovered By Reynolds Citizen A Reynolds citizen recovered a stolen gun while cutting grass, according to Reynolds Police Chief Lonnie J. Holder. A citizen was cutting grass and found a gun. He called the Reynolds Police Department, and Cbief'Iloider arrived on the scene and recovered the gun, The gun was run through the 911 data base and was deter mined to be stolen, Tbe gun is being held for investigative purp oses. Chief Holder thanks the citi zen for doing the right thing and turning the gun in to the proper authority. Several Individuals Face Drug And Traffic Charges By Reynolds Police Dept. According to Reynolds Police Chief Lonnie J. Holder, the Reynolds Police Department charged several individuals with drug and traffic violations. Zackcry Slade Trawick, a 27 year old male of Perry, G A, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Kelsey Deyonta Little, a 25 year old male of Reynolds, was charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than anOunce. Samantha Paige Speights, a 25 year old female of Mobile, AL, was charged with Speed ing, 86 mph in a 55 mph speed zone. Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Drug Re lated Object. Johnell Williams, a 22 year old male of Laplace, LA, was charged with Speeding, 76 mph in a 50 mph speed zone, DUI- Drugs, and Possession of Mari juana Less than an Ounce. Lincoln Thomas Bennett, a 28 year old male of Tallahassee, FL, was charged with Speed ing, 105 mph in a 60 mph speed zone.
