Parrish, of Fender, was in Tifton Saturday with a fine load of chickens. Mr. J. F. Paul, of Norman Park, spent Monday in Tifton. He has been in feeble health all the winter. Mr. and Mrs. B**rry Ridden and baby motored over to Ty Ty Sunday and spent the day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baker. Dr. J. M. Price returned this morn ing from Duluth, On., where he had been at the bedside of his niece, M Sybilla Pool for several days. 1 left her improving. There was a sound of laughter on Tifton's streets Saturday. It was Duke John Williams, of Eldorado, and he had just heard about the in formal baptizing out at Ferry Lake Friday night Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mulkey are receiving congratulations over the arrival of an attractive little daugh ter Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Mulkey’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. King, three miles west of Tifton. Mr. Geo. L. Paulk, of the Chula section, who was in Tifton Saturday said that the seven stars were still too high for Svdrm weather. Judging by what we have seen since, we are back ing George’s reputation as a star gazer. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Harrell and little son Ike Bowen Harrell, Mrs. Robert Henderson, Mrs. M. A. LoW- en and Misses Anna Lizzie and Mittie Bowen motored over from Brookfield Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Oren Roberts. She was accompanied home by Judge Harry Kent and Messrs Mil- ton and Alma Kent, who motored over Sunday morning. Work has begun on, a garage for Mr. T. W. Tift on the rear of the lot corner Tift avenue and New street, on which he intends to build bungalow soon. This bungalow will have seven room and will cost about $3,000. Next came MisB Blanche Britt on the left and Mr. Chesley Monk on the right; Misfl Carolyn Wycker and Mr. Tom Marcy; Miss Mildred Holmes and Mr; Walter Sumner, in the same order. Mrs. F. H. Miss Mae Heard and Mr. Sidney Gibbs and Miss Laura Exum and Mr. Gibbs made a flying trip to Fitzger ald Sunday. We welcome our new neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, in our commu nity. They have moved on the Ferry Lake farm, called the Club farm. Mrs. Maud Trailor and Mrs. Evelyn Doss vinited the home of Mrs. J. T. Cox Wednesday. Last week the Grand Jury return ed an indictment against Jutt Mc Ghee, a white man living south of Nashville, charging him with rape.
