There being such a great demand
for Fever remedies in this country,
1 have lieen making a special study
»f the different remedies used in
malarial troubles over since I have
been in the drug business. I de
termined last Fall upon putting up
some preparation that would cure
the majority of cases of Fever,
Ague, Chills, etc,, and that would
take the place of a great number of
Northern and Western Fever and
Ague remedies, believing that one
living in this section is capable of
preparing something that is better
for the ]>eeuliar class of fever and
the debilitating condition of the
system that prevails during the
Summer months. I have far ex
ceeded my expectations— Last
Spring I began to manufacture
JENNINGS’ FEVER TONIC
Since which time I have put up
ami sold several thousand bottles,
lid IT HAS NEVER FAILED TO CURE
N a single instance. Meeting
with this unprecedented success I
feel perfectly safe in placin
iUARANTEE upon EVERY bot
tle ; so, when it is taken according
to the directions and it does not ef
fect a cure the money will be re
funded.
The regular practicing physi
cians of the country have examin
ed the formula of Jennings’ Fever
Tonic, and pronounce it efficient
and harmless.
I place before the public only a
few of the great number of unsolic-1
ited certificates received in regard
to its cures. t

Chief Justice Common Sense Say
Ladies and Gentlemen of this vast
verse.—This case is certainly the i
important that has evei come before
us for consideration, and demands
undivided attention. It is by no means
a new issue, for, as far back as we can
trace the true science of medicine,
can also see that this evil has existed :
—this claim of some to. have “discover
ed” some wonderful healing halm
known only to themselves and some ig
noramus from whom thev learned how
to make their panacea—I need not tell
the intelligent how uterly false
claims are, both as to the origin, ami
value of these nostrums. We think the
test of merit is the only fair test, and the
v niversal sentiment 'is that every one
should be willing to abide by it. Compe
tition in the manufacture of medicines,
to the extent that it lias for its primary
object the placing of the best article
upon the market, establishes
the legitimate place of a preparation
on its ni e r i t s. To ward off
such competition by claims of a secret
known only to the manufacturer, is to
substitute false recommendations for
true ones, and to elevate the inferior to
par with that which is first-class.—

of all with her own hand murdering her
innocent babe, laboring under the de
