The Edmund Burke Acad
emy Lady Spartans beat Portal
High School 43-17 Monday,
November 20.
“Our girls improved their
communication throughout
the game,” said Coach Daniel
Hannah. “Leila Eastmead and
Zaylie Baker led us in scoring
with 15 and 16 respectively. I
was really impressed at how
we were able to get out in
transition and with some of the
outlet passes the girls made to
get the ball into the open floor.”
The Lady Spartans also
achieved a 61-48 win against
Jenkins County Tuesday, No
vember 21.
“We came out a little slow
against a solid Jenkins County
team and fell behind 12-2 at
one point,” said Coach Han
nah. “Our girls did a fantastic
job of battling the whole night
and we were able to control
the tempo on both ends of the
court.”
The Spartans play again Lri-
day, December 1 against Horse
Creek Academy.
