THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
I have completed my Christ
mas shopping.
This year, I purchased the
majority of the presents that
I will give from downtown
Waynesboro businesses and
from vendors who set up dur
ing local festivals. Recently, I
walked around and spoke to
many of the shop owners.
There are a host of shops
downtown that offer a variety
of gift items to fit any budget.
Gifts to give to people who
range from birth to senior
citizen and from rich to poor,
can be found downtown. If
you don’t’ like to shop, nearly
every store offers gifts cards
and some offer gift wrapping.
The store owners are more than
willing to assist you in creating
or finding the perfect gift.
I purchased a bunch of gift
cards for my daughter. I am
looking forward to a lovely day
spent with her that begins with
a specialty coffee or milkshake.
I look forward to the greetings
we will receive as we enter
each shop and browse until
she picks out the perfect gifts.
After we finish shopping,
we’ll enjoy a meal in a local
restaurant. What more could I
ask for? Buying her gift cards
was like buying myself a gift!
Who wants to live in a town
where the downtown area looks
rundown and abandoned? Cur
rently, Waynesboro’s down
town offers a host of businesses
that bring life to the area.
However, they can’t thrive
without local support. Whether
you are looking for something
extravagant or practical, I urge
you to try the downtown shops.
For those who don’t like to get
out, many of the shops offer
online shopping. Either way,
the shopkeepers need and will
appreciate your business.
